Austin is a little oasis of fun and funky spirits in Texas! This city boasts several unique venues that range from scenic hill country chapels to cool urban spaces – a little bit of the traditional and the unorthodox swirled into one.
A sunset ceremony on the hill of Chapel Dulcinea. The gorgeous red and purple hues of the sky were a dreamy backdrop, and once the sun went down, the chapel itself was lit by romantic lanterns.
I’m a sucker for vineyards, so the Vineyards at Chappel Lodge never disappoint, no matter the season!
What it's like to elope here
Dinora & Anthony met in high school and the ‘butterflies in the stomach’ feelings were mutual! They agreed they would marry one day…and the perfect time arrived organically. The two of them chose to elope at Sekrit Theater in Austin, Texas. The magical abandoned garden features an inspiring glass greenhouse with greenery and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. It was the perfect spot to wed in front of family and friends. The newlyweds enjoyed all the amazing photo opportunities around the Theatre and then the stylish wedding party enjoyed a private supper. Read on to discover how Simply Eloped created this amazing elopement for Dinora & Anthony.
Anthony: My first impression was ‘who is this cool person I keep bumping into everywhere in my town and why is my attention always on her’?
Dinora: My best friend introduced me to Anthony in high school. The first time I saw Anthony all I could think was “wow..his smile” and I had instant butterflies.
Dinora: Anthony isn’t the type to rush anything. He brought up marriage once a couple of years ago. We both kind of asked each other. No ring, no pressure, just a simple verbal yes. Lol. A few months before our anniversary he just woke up one day and asked, “when do we start planning it?”.
Dinora: We chose the Sekrit Theater as our elopement destination. Not only is the greenhouse beautiful, but the property offers so many different beautiful backdrops for photos!
Dinora: The greenhouse! It’s beautiful. All the greenery coming through the windows. The lighting was amazing. My favorite part was taking advantage of the beautiful property for our photos.
Dinora: Sekrit Theater is different. It’s beautiful and it won’t disappoint you.
Dinora: Anthony spent the morning with his family and got dressed with his brothers. I spent the day getting ready with my niece and my close friend from California. I also had my mother-in-law and Anthony’s sisters with me. It was hectic but very fun. I was nervous up until the moment I stood in front of Anthony.
Dinora: Simply Eloped was exactly what I expected. It made my day less stressful because I did not have to worry about finding an officiant, photographer, and venue on my own. The photos came out great. The location was more than I could’ve asked for. No regrets with eloping.
Dinora: We had a private dinner with our close friends and family. It was entertaining. Lots of laughs.
Dinora: You won’t regret it. Trust me.
