Union Station

The historic, restored, mixed-use train station and transportation hub may be the easiest outdoor elopement location in DC. The outside has several alcoves and archways for an architecturally-enlightening ceremony. It’s also free to have a small ceremony outside the building under the different columns.

DC War Memorial

The DC War Memorial’s white marble columns, trees, and open grass area feel like a little escape. The memorial commemorates the citizens of the District of Columbia who served during World War I. President Herbert Hoover dedicated the memorial on Armistice Day in 1931. Permit fee and processing time apply.

Spanish Steps

The Spanish Steps are a neighborhood gem amidst the embassies in Northwest DC. At the top, a small fountain offers an ideal ceremony location. Now the steps are on the National Register of Historic Places. You can wander nearby DuPont Circle afterward as well. Permit fee applies.

Fathom Gallery

Fathom Gallery is multi-level space that combines historic elements of old 14th Street and modern simplicity. Choose the beautiful rooftop garden or indoor gallery for your ceremony. Venue rental fee applies.
