Good to Know Before You Elope Here

Live plant material from outside the park is not allowed; this includes cut flowers for bouquets and potted plants. Silk flowers are a-ok, though! If you have elderly or infirm guests in your party, feel free to bring them a folding chair. All other decorations and chairs not allowed unless given special permission from the Craggy Gardens staff. Reminder not to carry too much. You don’t want a bunch of bags, etc in your photos. In the case of rain, we can duck into your car and wait for the weather to pass (it generally breaks quickly). Otherwise, we can plan for another day. Touch base with us in that case! Bring walking shoes if you intend to wear high heels in your ceremony. You won’t regret the flats, I promise! Footing is quite rocky, so we recommend bringing comfy shoes for the hike even if you plan on wearing different shoes in your pictures. Speaking of tips, we highly recommend them for your team! $30/person is customary and means a lot for the work they put in! While we love the pinnacle trail, we can no longer do ceremonies there out of respect to the fragile ecosystems that exist on that part of the trail. Temperatures range from 10-30 degrees cooler than in Asheville, so bringing an extra layer is recommended for the comfort of your experience! During severe winter weather, the Park System will close sections of the Blue Ridge parkway. Our team monitors this closely, but it is a good idea to have a Plan B in place in the event of closures (if booking between October and April)! Lastly, don’t forget to have fun. This is a day you’ll remember for the rest of your life (in the special way). Breathe, relax and enjoy. You got this. ;)
