DC War Memorial

District of Columbia, Washington DC •
View on Map
The DC War Memorial is a powerful and memorable place for an elopement: arches, the names of the fallen District of Columbia citizens who served during World War I, and trees foster something special. Permit fee and processing time apply. Reserving your date with Simply Eloped does not guarantee we have been approved for the permit with the National Park Service, so we ask that you have a backup date just in case!

Good to Know Before You Elope Here

Please come dressed and ready for ceremony. Don't forget to bring your permit for the steps, as well as your marriage license! Reminder not to carry too much. You don’t want a bunch of bags, etc in your photos. Bring walking shoes if you intend to wear high heels in your ceremony. You won’t regret the flats, I promise! Speaking of tips, we highly recommend them for your team! $30/person is customary and means a lot for the work they put in! Lastly, don’t forget to have fun. This is a day you’ll remember for the rest of your life (in the special way). Breathe, relax and enjoy. You got this. ;)
