Hiking Trail Details

Glacier Point offers access to some of the most breathtaking trails in Yosemite, including:

• Panorama Trail (8.5 miles one way, strenuous): A challenging yet rewarding hike with stunning views of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the surrounding valley.

• Four Mile Trail (9.6 miles round trip, strenuous): This steep climb rewards hikers with sweeping views of Yosemite Valley and iconic landmarks like El Capitan.

• Taft Point Trail (2.2 miles round trip, moderate): A short trek to a spectacular viewpoint with dramatic drops and views of the valley floor.

Visit Yosemite’s wedding page for details on the application process. Permits are not granted for holiday weekends, and pets are not allowed at the ceremony.
  • • Weather Variability: Glacier Point’s elevation means temperatures can vary significantly. Pack layers and be prepared for a mix of sun, wind, and cool conditions, especially in the evening.
  • • Trail Crowds: Glacier Point and its surrounding trails are popular. Arrive early in the morning or later in the day to avoid crowds and enjoy a more peaceful experience.
  • • Accessibility: Some trails in the Glacier Point area are challenging and steep. Ensure you’re physically prepared, and bring appropriate gear, especially for longer hikes like the Panorama Trail.
