West Martello Tower

Florida, Key West •
View on Map
The tower grounds offer a gazebo and several cozy enclaves with ocean views and garden tropical plants. The tower was first constructed by the U.S. Armed Forces in 1822 when the Navy surveyed Key West. Later, the tower was a symbol of defiance as Key West was the only southern city allied with the Federal government during the Civil War. Venue rental fee applies.

Good to Know Before You Elope Here

Reminder not to carry too much. You don’t want a bunch of bags, etc in your photos. If you do bring items, we suggest leaving in your vehicle. In the case of rain, we can duck under the tower structures and wait for the weather to pass or plan for another day. Touch base with us in the case of bad weather. If you want to stick around for a rainy photo session (which always turns out stunning!) we are down for that as well. Bring walking shoes if you intend to wear high heels in your ceremony. You won’t regret the flats, I promise! Speaking of tips, we highly recommend them for your team! $30/person is customary and means a lot for the work they put in! Don't forget your marriage license! Lastly, don’t forget to have fun. This is a day you’ll remember for the rest of your life (in the special way). Breathe, relax and enjoy. You got this. ;)
