Having rain on your elopement day can be a stressful experience, but Arleshia and Quincy turned a wet day into a magical one. These two embraced the weather, grabbed umbrellas and still had a stunning and memorable ceremony at Top of the Rock in New York City. Almost as though they had the whole city and building to themselves, these two gathered their closest loved ones, rolled up in style and experienced one of our favorite NYC ceremonies to date. Read more on how they met, fell in love and rolled with the rain drops for their big day.

How did you meet? What was your first impression of one another?

Arleshia: We met at a birthday celebration. I was like ‘omg he is soooo cute’.

Quincy:  I thought she was beautiful.

When did you first fall in love? How did you know?

Arleshia: I first fell in love when my son asked if he could call Quincy dad. Later we sat down and discussed it he stated it was fine. And he has been a father to him every since.

Quincy: I fell in love with Arleshia when I found out she put ketchup on her Mac and cheese I know weird but I just knew she was the one. My love for her grows each day.

How did you propose or accept the proposal?

Arleshia: One day he just pulled out the laptop and started looking at rings. He shared with me he didn’t want to wait any longer let’s get married. I said ok. Never thought he was serious until he purchased my rings.

What do you love about your partner?

Arleshia: I love Quincy’s ambition. Anything he dream to have it always come true.

Quincy: I love her love for family we are so important to her.

What is the greatest strength of your relationship?

Arleshia: Team work is our greatest strength. No matter what we deal with everything as a unit.

Why did you decide to elope?

Arleshia: The pandemic played a big part but also we didn’t want to put off something that we were so sure we wanted to do. We wanted a small intimate ceremony in the city where we met.

How did you find Simply Eloped?

Arleshia: We looked online at several elopement packages and Quincy fell in love with your website.

How did you know Simply Eloped was the right fit for you?

Arleshia: I knew it was because of the fast response that I received. All the staff is very professional and warm.

What attracted you to the venue you eloped at?

Arleshia: [They eloped at Top of the Rocky in NYC]. The view… being able to feel as if we were standing on top of the world ready to face it all together. Our wedding day was rainy and close to me looking out in the fog reminded me that the future is unknown but as long as we are together let’s face it.

What activities did you do before the wedding? How did you prepare? How did you feel leading up to the moments of your elopement?

Arleshia: We literally spent more time with each other nothing out of the norm but it felt different each night we had very in depth honest conversations with each other that brought us even closer. Each day I felt nervous but the day I turned around to see him I was at peace no fear, only love.

Tell us about your experience with Simply Eloped leading up to and on your big day!

Arleshia: [Simply Eloped] had quick responses;  were very knowledgeable and professional. Gave great advice and even encouraging words. Everyone stated that it was as if Marta (photographer) knew us here deliverance was very personable. Sarah (officiant) was great she gave ideas and she was attentive in what we wanted as well. Sarah calmed my nerves about the rain. Everyone was lovely.

What words of encouragement do you have for those considering eloping?

Arleshia:  Eloping was the best decision I made. If your concerns are money eloping is a great idea. If you are concerned about pandemic eloping is great. If you are like me who wanted intimacy,  professionalism and your own vision without others input, eloping is for you.
