Gazebo at Langford Park! Permit Rules

What you need to know

We ask that you abide by these rules while performing your ceremony:

Driving:

  • NO driving in any park at any time, unless for parking vehicles in designated parking spots in a parking lot.

Staking:

  • NO STAKING of any kind.

Tents:

  • NO pop-up tents allowed.

Adhesive Materials:

  • NO tape of any kind can be used – please use string or zip ties and they MUST be removed at the end of your event.

Balloons:

  • NO BALLOONS (regular or helium) are allowed.

Foreign Materials:

  • NO silly string.
  • NO confetti, powder, silk petals and smoke of any kind. Non-biodegradable material CANNOT be used.

Alcohol:

  • NO alcohol is permitted.

Cooking Equipment:

  • NO outside grills, smokers or fryers.

Open Flames:

  • NO open flame (this includes and not limited to canisters used for warming trays, bonfires, torches, lanterns, oil lamps and any other flame-producing device) are allowed other than in a grill provided in the park.

Amplified Sound:

  • NO amplified sound (speakers, microphone, etc.) is allowed without a loudspeaker permit.

Generators:

  • NO generators are allowed.

Sports Equipment:

  • NO driving, putting or otherwise hitting a golf ball OR shooting an arrow.

Structures:

  • NO structure allowed that disturbs the natural surface of the ground.

Playground Use:

  • Your rental DOES NOT give you exclusive use of the playground at the park.

Cleanup:

  • All tables, chairs, and other equipment/items used MUST be removed the same day and CANNOT BE STAKED INTO THE GROUND. All trash MUST be picked up and placed in trash cans. If the trash cans are full, you MUST remove your trash from the park.

Also important

  • No pets are allowed.
  • No smoke bombs!
  • The permit is for non-exclusive use of the area, so other members of the public may also be present.
  • Use of drones is not permitted.
  • Vehicles are not permitted to drive on ANY of the paths in the park.
  • All activities, changing of clothing, and gatherings of large crowds are NOT permitted inside the Visitor Center Museum or inside the Gift Shop.
