Niszira & Tabitha are unique as they did not hit it off instantly upon meeting in high school! But love prevailed in the end. After an Avengers-themed proposal, these two looked to plan an elopement with Simply Eloped taking on all the stress and finding them a beautiful, scenic ceremony venue. They chose to tie the knot at Sprague Lake in  Rocky Mountain National Park with friends by their side. Nisziri & Tabitha found themselves blessed with rain on their wedding day (cue the matching umbrellas!!) and their stylish, full of awesome attitude elopement party surrounded them with love. Read on about how happy they were with their Simply Eloped experience.

How did you meet? What was your first impression of one another?

Niszira: We met in our freshman year of high school in choir class. My first impression of Tabitha was… not what you would think. She played football at that time, so I assumed she was kind of a jerk like other football players I knew.

How did you propose or accept the proposal?

Niszira: We actually both proposed to each other. Tabby is a huge Marvel fan, so on the opening night of the movie End Game, I had some friends come, and I surprised her with a Marvel-themed proposal.

Where did you choose to elope, and why did you choose that destination?

Niszira: We eloped in Rocky Mountain National Park on Sprague lake. We wanted something with lots of beautiful scenery, and being from Iowa, there’s not a lot of that here. We had never traveled out of state, so we thought it’d be fun to sightsee as well.

Discover your dream venue! Get started.

What attracted you to the venue you chose for your elopement? What were your favorite parts about eloping there?

Niszira: The scenery was beautiful! It was close enough that we could drive there with our guests and have a great time. My favorite part was the mountains. Everything was so pretty and so different from Iowa.

How would you describe your elopement venue to someone who has never been there?

Niszira: Beautiful and romantic! Lots of nature but in a good way, everything looked so pretty!

What did you do before the wedding? How did you get ready? How did you feel in the moments leading up to your elopement?

Niszira: Getting ready for the wedding was one of my favorite parts besides the actual ceremony. It warmed my heart to see all of our friends getting dressed and laughing and talking together. Singing along with each other, it was just a wonderful atmosphere!

How was your experience with Simply Eloped?

Niszira: The best experience ever! Usually, when you’re planning a wedding, you always hear about how stressful it is but this was the opposite! The Simply Eloped crew was so helpful I had no stress about my actual wedding. Even with a couple of setbacks in our planning, it was still not as stressful as a traditional wedding.

How did you choose to celebrate your elopement?

Niszira: After our ceremony, we went back to our cabin with our friends and made dinner together, and for dessert, we made s’mores and played Mario Kart.

What words of encouragement do you have for those considering eloping?Niszira:  I would say go for it. Our friends were not happy with the idea at first, but after explaining we could still have a reception later and that this is what we wanted, everyone got on board. If you’re thinking of eloping, do it! It’s you and your partner’s day. Do what is best for the two of you! Everything else will work out.
