Winter ceremonies in New York City can be stunning. Crisp, sparkling snow and bluebird skies give way to the grandeur of the skyline and natural beauty of places like Central Park. However, blustering winds and below freezing temps are not for everyone. If you have an interest in getting eloped in NYC in the winter months, but are intimated by the cold, we have some indoor location options that are still respectful of your pocket-book. Here are our top eight indoor venues for your winter elopement ceremony:

Bethesda Arcade

Technically an indoor/outdoor venue, Bethesda Terrace Arcade is an architectural dream. A grandiose staircase that leads to high arched walkways and tiled ceilings are perfect photo opportunities for Bride and Groom. Designed in the 1860s, the arcade has history and design to die for. Although it can be a very public space, its cost-effectiveness makes up for it. There are no fees or permits associated with this location.

Archer Hotel Spyglass Rooftop Bar

If you’re seeing a stunning rooftop space to hold your intimate elopement, you can’t beat the Archer Hotel Spyglass Rooftop Bar. This unbelievable view of the Empire State Building could be the backdrop to your unforgettable ceremony! For Monday-Friday, this reservation costs $1050. For a weekend day, it’s $1250 and for a weekend evening it’s $1550. Simply Eloped can coordinate this for you! This reservation includes:

  • Two hour reservation
  • A bottle of champagne
  • Use of the indoor or outdoor space
  • Discounted room if you choose to stay at Archer Hotel
  • 6 guests or less (we cannot accommodate larger groups due to COVID/CDC guildeines)

MADE Hotel, Good Behavior Rooftop Lounge

We are big fans of our rooftop ceremonies at MADE Hotel in the Good Behavior Lounge. With a view of the city in the backdrop and a cozy lounge with a variety of spots to perform your ceremony, it’s hard to not be charmed by this precious and intimate spot. The 2-hour reservation includes private access to the rooftop, a one-night stay in the penthouse suite. Ceremonies can only take place 11am – 4pm. The cost of performing your ceremony here is $1500 plus tax. Let us know if you’re interested in this spot and Simply Eloped will reach out to ensure the hotel has availability on your date!

Frankie’s 457 Spuntino

If your elopement vibe is rustic, charming and quaint then look no further than Frankie’s 457 Spuntino in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. If you are looking for a quiet place to eat delicious Southern Italian cuisine with your closest friends and family after saying “I do”, I’ve got your venue right here! There’s catering and customized alcohol packages to ensure a good time is had by all. Site reservation fees begin at $500 during peak season.

BoBo’s NYC

Bobo’s in Manhattan may be Frankies 457’s French sister. Wildly delicious French cuisine and relaxed European vibe give this place its’ charm. It’s a little bit country, a little bit feminine, a lot of adorable. Space for 30-50 of your closet friends and family to eat, drink, mingle and dance! Yes, there’s a dance floor! Set up fee for rental space ranges between $3,500+.

Grand Central Station

If you haven’t caught on yet getting eloped on a budget is kind of our thing. We strive to keep costs down so your day is stress-free and enjoyable. One of our completely free indoor venue options is Grand Central Station. It can be a little noisy, a little chaotic but it is inherently sweet with its history and vibrancy that just yells, “You’re in New York, Baby!” If you’ve got a small guest list, grab your honey and say “I do” at Grand Central Station.

Notorious BNB

If you’re looking for something hip, lavish and supremely posh, we recommend Notorious BNB. This Airbnb rental has even titled their master suite ‘The Biggie’. Run by two interior decorating extraordinaires, this is a perfect spot for your tiny (2-person) elopement. The pictures come out stunning and you can even rent it for the night, so you can get eloped and then celebrate without ever having to step outside. If you don’t book through Airbnb for the night, hourly rentals start at $400/hr.

Private Room at One World Observatory

Private rooms located on the 102nd floor of the One World Trade Center boast glorious views of the city that no rooftop restaurant can beat! This is the perfect location for the couple that wants a private ceremony followed by a delicious dinner while still not spending a fortune. You can rent the space by hour but you will need to book in advance, these private rooms don’t last long. Fees begin at $1,300 plus tax. Cheers!

If none of these spots stand out to you for indoor locations, we have performed a lot of ceremonies in the privacy of a couple’s Airbnb, hotel room, or lobby. Feel free to always reach to us for additional recommendations. We’re here to help you find the venue of your dreams, no matter what the weather.
