How to Elope in Cincinnati

Mixing the charms of Appalachia, the North East, and the Midwest, Cincinnati is a vibrant up-and-coming city. A Cincinnati elopement is a great option for the couple who wants the charms of a city elopement while still being a short drive away from beautiful parks and river scenes.

If you’re dreaming of eloping in the Queen City, then we’ve got you covered! Below you can find everything you need to know about a Cincinnati elopement.

Unique places to elope in Cincinnati

There are all kinds of unique places to elope in Cincinnati — from 200-year-old architectural features to charming neighborhoods and lovely parks, you’re sure to find the perfect place to say ‘I do’. Here are some of our favorite places to elope in Cincinnati, Ohio:

Cincinnati Parks Garden
Cincinnati Parks Garden offers several separate wedding areas, including the Hinkle Gazebo, Vasey gardens, and Ault Parks. It should be noted that seating is not provided by this venue, and any seating brought in must be approved by the park, in an attempt to preserve the grounds. The gardens are entirely outdoor, and therefore best suited for spring and summer ceremonies, however, there are several gazebos and pergolas within the garden that couples can find cover under in the event of unexpected weather.

Centennial Barn
Both charming and rustic, the Centennial Barn offers several amenities to accommodate any kind of elopement ceremony, including wheelchair ramps, free guest parking, and the use of the grounds, which includes a back porch and a gazebo. Couples can contact the venue through their website to make a reservation. It’s worth mentioning that all rental funds go to support the Franciscan Ministries, which is a local nonprofit committed to serving those in need. With indoor and outdoor accommodations, this venue is suitable for any season.

The Factory Events
The Factory is another great venue in Cincinnati, this time capturing more urban vibes. Offering both indoor and outdoor space, couples can tie the knot in the Cocktail Garden’s courtyard, then dance the night away in the Machine Room. The Factory provides everything that your ceremony or reception may need, including ceremony chairs, banquet and cocktail tables and linens, and a full-service bar. Couples can make reservations directly through the Factory 513 website.

Mojave East
Mojave East is another indoor/outdoor venue, boasting tons of natural light and a modern, airy feel. The venue itself is a large, open-concept room with an accessible outdoor patio. Free parking, as well as seating and tables, are provided with the rental fee for this space.Couples can book directly with this venue through the Mojave East website.

Where do I get an officiant in Cincinnati?

Most of our elopement packages come with licensed officiant services and personalized vows. Additionally, if you would like to have a close friend or family member marry you, the Ohio secretary of state does issue officiant licenses to those who have been ordained online.

How much does it cost to elope in Cincinnati?

Our Cincinnati elopement packages range from $300 to $2,250 and include a range of services depending on your package choice, such as an officiant, floral services, photography, and more.

When is the Best Time to Get Married in Cincinnati?

Depending on where you want to get married, the seasons may play a factor in your Cincinnati elopement, as Ohio can have inclement weather. The best time for couples to elope outdoors in Cincinnati is in the fall. This allows you to circumvent Cincinnati’s rainy season, which typically falls between March and August. Couples can also expect snow during the winter months in Cincinnati. However, due to the indoor/outdoor versatility of many of the venues in Cincinnati, a little rain doesn’t have to ruin your big day.

How to Get Around in Cincinnati

There is no airport within the city of Cincinnati itself — if you’re flying in, you’ll most likely be landing in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). CVG is just a short 16-minute drive outside the city.

If you’re looking to explore some of the city sights, you can take a ride on the Cincinnati Bell Connector Streetcar. The streetcar makes a 3.6-mile loop from the riverfront at The Banks to Downtown and Over-the-Rhine, making stops at the Findlay Market, Cincinnati Music Hall, and Fountain Square. Another unique mode of transportation that Cincinnati offers are their riverboat excursions! This can be a great way to get a new perspective on the city whether you’re a native or just visiting.
