There are so many truly magical places to elope in Florida. Some of our favorites include Smathers Beach, Key West Botanical Garden and West Martello Tower to name a few. Scroll down to see more, along with photos and descriptions!
Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden
Preservation is at the forefront of this venue. It’s the only frost-free, natural conservation habit, botanical garden in the continental United States! Choose among several spots, like the lakeside terrace, butterfly garden, nature pavilion, or courtyard. The garden highlights flora native to the Keys, Cuba, and Caribbean. Venue rental fee applies.
Bahia Honda State Park
The park has palm-lined beaches, clear waters, and awesome sunsets. Just under an hour from Key West, the park feels remote and secluded. You can gaze off into the distance and see what was once a railroad bridge connecting the Keys to the mainland. Venue rental fee applies – good for three hours!
West Martello Tower
History and horticulture here! The tower was first constructed by the U.S. Armed Forces in 1822 when the Navy surveyed Key West. Later, the tower was a symbol of defiance as Key West was the only southern city allied with the Federal government during the Civil War. Now on the National Register of Historic Places, the gorgeous tower grounds offer a gazebo and several cozy enclaves with ocean views and garden tropical plants. Venue rental fee applies.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Beach Access
Cape Florida has a stretch of sand often ranked in the top 10 beaches nationwide. The beach is accessible and offers excellent views of the Atlantic Ocean. The area has served as a beacon for freedom from Seminole Indians to runaway slaves who secretly gathered before safely departing to the British Bahamas.
Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park Lighthouse Grounds
The Lighthouse Grounds encompasses the gated area around the Cape Florida lighthouse, Keepers Cottage, coconut palm pathway and surrounding area. There are many setup options in this area depending on preference, some set up guests along the coconut palm pathway and have their ceremony in front of the lighthouse, some setup guests in front of the cottage and use the cottage patio for their ceremony, some use the very back area for the ceremony and take their pictures throughout.
Pleasant Garden holds true to its name with its peaceful yet rustic ambiance for elopement ceremonies. With multiple ceremony locations throughout the property, it is the perfect mix of magic and Miami with sun-filled palm trees to radiate the day and dazzling string lights to illuminate the evenings.
St. John’s County Beaches
You can’t go wrong with 41 miles of pristine white sand beaches for your St. Augustine elopement! Choose your sweet spot on the coastline, and we will help you with the permit (you can feel good about that permit fee as the county uses it to keep the beaches beautiful!). We love that over 16 miles is drivable so rent that jeep! Local Simply Eloped planners are experts at this stretch of water and help you with all the beach wedding details.
