A Stylish Colorado Elopement for Jessica & Wayland at 3M Curve

Jessica & Wayland are high school sweethearts, but there’s a twist…they were from rival sports schools! Obviously, they overcame this hurdle (pun intended). These two are big travelers and love the outdoors, so they chose 3M Curve in Colorado for their elopement. The wedding gods were smiling at them as they arrived to find that they and their guests were on their own (a true gift in a national park!). Jessica & Wayland were thrilled with the breathtaking views and took some pretty epic photos after their intimate ceremony. We have to admire Jessica’s gorgeous gown and Wayland’s wedding style. How did you meet? What was your first impression of one another?

Jessica: We met when we were 15. We went to rival high schools (Indiana sports!).

How did you propose or accept the proposal?

Jessica: Wayland had a FedEx package he was expecting—big online shopper, and I got home from school (I am a teacher) and Wayland said he wanted to show me what he ordered, but I was going to have to try it on…I thought it was going to be a sweatshirt or something like that, but when he came downstairs he was holding the ring box!

Where did you choose to elope and why did you choose that destination? 

Jessica: RMNP at 3M Curve. We love to travel and be outdoors. We saw pictures of 3M Curve and fell in love! We wanted an intimate ceremony and it looked like the perfect spot for us!

What attracted you to the venue you chose for your elopement? What were your favorite parts about eloping there? 

Jessica: The mountain background, the colors, the nature/outdoorsy feel drew us in! It was stunning! We loved all of the different spots we took pictures. Our photographer and officiant were excellent. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

How would you describe your elopement venue to someone who has never been there?

Jessica: It was unreal. The view was breathtaking. We were the only ones at the site at that time, so we had the whole area to ourselves, which made it that more special. We will never forget it!

What did you do before the wedding? How did you get ready? How did you feel in the moments leading up to your elopement? 

Jessica: We stayed at Estes Park Resort. It was beautiful! We had a relaxing morning getting ready and then headed to RMNP. We felt so relaxed. Simply Eloped made getting married so easy and stress-free! 

How was your experience with Simply Eloped?

How did you choose to celebrate your elopement?

Jessica: We had a dinner party with the rest of our family back at home afterwards.

Jessica: It was the best decision we could’ve made! It takes the stress out of planning, and truly focuses on what matters—the love between you and your partner!
