Alison & Isaac literally clicked; as in, they added each other on Snapchat, which was the start of a beautiful thing. They both love mountain views, so choosing Garden of the Gods in Colorado inspired their elopement. They exchanged vows at High Point, a magnificent outlook over the red rock and mountains. We have a real soft spot for couples who go full-on high cathedral fashion while eloping in God’s natural church. Alison rocks an amazing lace bodice gown with tiara and veil, while Isaac looks gorgeous in his black suit and tie. The white-on-white cascading bouquet is the perfect touch to their elopement ensemble! Find out more about how this couple trusted Simple Eloped to create a stress-free wedding they will never forget.

How did you meet? What was your first impression of one another?

Alison: We had choir class together in high school, but I thought he was annoying because he was a class clown. After I graduated, Isaac added me on Snapchat, and we clicked and started hanging out and didn’t stop for four years, lol.

How did you propose or accept the proposal?

Alison: He drove us to Texas, and we had a mini-vacation. He took me to my favorite beach and proposed to me in front of the water!

Where did you choose to elope, and why did you choose that destination?

Alison: We chose Colorado because it was closest to our state and is beautiful. We both love Mountain Views, so that was the goal for our wedding photos! Garden of the Gods had a beautiful view and took our breath away.

What attracted you to the venue you chose for your elopement? What were your favorite moments eloping there?

Alison: Garden of the Gods was a place we had both been previously but never High Point, where we were married. It was beautiful and had the Mountain View we wanted! They found us a somewhat secluded part, so people didn’t bother us, and it was perfect.

How would you describe your elopement venue to someone who has never been there?

Alison: The red will really make your wedding dress pop, and the view is literally breathtaking. I wouldn’t choose any other place!

What did you do before the wedding? How did you get ready? How did you feel in the moments leading up to your elopement?

Alison: Isaac went to his parent’s hotel to get ready, and I stayed in our room in downtown Colorado Springs. My makeup and hair artist came to get me ready, and once she was done, my favorite women helped me into my dress! Then we went to the location, but my mom was lost, so our photographer gave her step-by-step directions to get to us. I was nervous but mostly excited!

How was your experience with Simply Eloped?

Alison: It was amazing, and they really made the whole experience one I’ll never forget. The beautiful venue was easily obtained, not a ridiculous amount of money spent, amazing photographer and makeup/hair artist, and our minister was the most amazing lady. I really gave them my full trust in picking out these people for us and making my day happen, and they did above and beyond what I’d hoped!

How did you choose to celebrate your elopement?

Alison: Since we had already traveled to do the elopement, we decided to do our honeymoon there too! There’s a lot to do in Colorado, and it was fun and relaxing!

What words of encouragement do you have for those considering eloping?

Alison: Remember that your wedding day should be about you and your partner. No one else. We had parents and important people there with us, but our wedding was about us, period. Not catering to a bunch of people or making sure everyone else is happy. I’m so glad we did it, and we will always have a place to go for our wedding anniversaries where no one else is. We did end up doing a reception the next month for our family to celebrate with us, and no one was mad they couldn’t go to the wedding. If your family loves and supports you, they will understand that your day shouldn’t be stressful or rushed!
