Madison & Wyatt are what you would call a laid-back couple! Their proposal story takes ‘chill’ to a new level as Wyatt popped the question as they drove down a highway. So it was no surprise that when it came to their wedding they wanted relaxed and stress-free. Simply Eloped stepped up and delivered an intimate elopement at The Paint Mines outside Colorado Springs. Madison stunned Wyatt with a truly gorgeous gown and flowing bridal bouquet. They exchanged vows in the middle of the beautiful rock formations and epic views. We loved their swoon-worthy photos filled with romantic shots. Read more about why Madison & Wyatt gave Simply Eloped a 10/10!

How did you meet? What was your first impression of one another?

Madison: We had our first date at a little sports bar. We had known each other back in high school but not in our adult life. My second first impression of Wyatt was honestly, wow, I can’t believe this guy is interested in me.

How did you propose or accept the proposal?

Madison: We were driving home from a long day of shopping, and he had been asking if he could drive home. I like to drive because I get car sick, but I finally gave in and let him drive. About halfway home, he just asks if we want to get married, and I said, “yeah, whatever like we have talked about it before.” Then he says to open the glove box, and I thought he was joking. I eventually looked, and I had to look twice before I found a ring box. I couldn’t believe he proposed just going down the highway, but I also wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. We’re both such laid-back people. He knew I wouldn’t mind how he did it, and he said he just couldn’t wait.

Where did you choose to elope, and why did you choose that destination?

Madison: The Paint Mines outside of Colorado Springs. I had been to Colorado with my Dad a few years before, and I loved it. I knew Wyatt would love it too. My Dad passed away a few years ago, so it also made me feel like I had incorporated him into my special day.

What attracted you to the venue you chose for your elopement? What were your favorite parts about eloping there?

Madison: I loved the colors and variations of the rock. I also thought it would be pretty secluded and private, which it ended up being.

How would you describe your elopement venue to someone who has never been there?

Madison: It is a bit of a drive but absolutely worth it. It’s a beautiful rock formation, kind of in the middle of nowhere. It’s definitely one of a kind.

What did you do before the wedding? How did you get ready? How did you feel in the moments leading up to your elopement?

Madison: We had a pretty relaxing and laid-back day. Simply Eloped had the flowers delivered to the hotel room and booked my hair and makeup. After that, we just hung out and anxiously waited to say I do.

How was your experience with Simply Eloped?

Madison: 10/10. I could not recommend them more. They made our elopement experience stress-free. They were easily accessible and answered any questions I had in a timely fashion.

How did you choose to celebrate your elopement?

Madison: We were starving afterward, so we treated ourselves to some In N Out! It fitted how easy-going our whole wedding day turned out to be.

What words of encouragement do you have for those considering eloping?

Madison: Do it. Don’t even think twice. I’ve known several people who had bad memories of their wedding day, but I don’t know a single person who’s regretted their elopement. The day was truly ours.
