When you think of a Vegas elopement, your mind likely goes to little drive-through chapels, glittering lights, and maybe an Elvis impersonator. But there’s so much more to a Las Vegas elopement than a wedding on the Strip, and Megan and Keith’s desert ceremony totally proves it! After realizing they wanted to get married without the stress of planning a traditional wedding – and knew they wanted to have their wedding location double as a honeymoon spot – the pair tied the knot at Red Rock Canyon on June 28, 2020. Scroll through Megan and Keith’s Las Vegas elopement photos – and their love story – below!

How did you meet? What was your first impression of one another?

We met at a local bar through mutual friends – apparently Keith thought I was crazy, and I wasn’t too sure of him either. But then our circle of friends continued to hang out and you could say we just kind of grew on each other.

When did you first fall in love? How did you know?

I was hospitalized for a kidney infection for a week due to only being born with one kidney, and I think that’s when I think Keith started to realize he couldn’t imagine not being with me. And when I first realized I was in love with Keith was when I had a few things that unfortunately happened, he was always so supportive and so comforting.

How did you propose or accept the proposal?

It was cute because he had our then 15-month old [hold the ring] and told him to bring it to me during quarantine.

What do you love about your partner?

I love that he is so comforting and supportive of every decision I make. He motivates me to be a great mother and a great wife, even when days are much harder than others. Keith says he loves my drive and motivation in my goals.

What is the greatest strength of your relationship?

The greatest strength in our relationship would have to be our openness with one another and ability to communicate.

Why did you decide to elope

[Eloping] was the better option for both of us – we both didn’t want a big fancy wedding, and we wanted to have something for the two of us for more intimacy. And to also have a mini honeymoon mixed in with it too!

How did you find Simply Eloped?

I had found simply eloped online looking at options we had. And Simply Eloped had so many positive reviews!

How did you know Simply Eloped was the right fit for you?

The staff and everyone who we had come in contact with was so awesome making sure everything was easy – it was a really easy process!

What attracted you to the venue you eloped at?

We loved the view, we are very adventurous people and love enjoying some beautiful scenery!

What activities did you do before the wedding? How did you prepare? How did you feel leading up to the moments of your Vegas elopement

We just kind of explored, shopped, and played some slot machines before we had to go back to our room to get ready, It wasn’t a nervous feeling – it was more excitement than anything knowing that we were about to spend our lives together.

Tell us about your experience with Simply Eloped leading up to and on your big day!

They were so friendly and so professional and answered all of our questions very promptly. Our photos turned out great. They all went above and beyond to make our day so special.

How did you celebrate after?

We celebrated by having a celebratory dinner at Fogo De Chao and of course had to hit some casinos!

What words of encouragement do you have for those considering eloping?

It’s a decision you should make on what is best and what you would like to do . I feel like it’s a great intimate experience.
