Your elopement doesn’t have to be all lights, gambling, and Elvis Presley impersonators—our favorite venues for eloping in Vegas are outdoors and absolutely stunning! Be it the red rock of Valley of Fire or the historic vibe of Nelson Ghost Town there are so many options that allow you to enjoy the glitz and glam of the Strip and the natural landscape that surrounds Sin City. Read on for our favorite small Las Vegas wedding venues, to see how much a Vegas elopement will cost you, or visit our ultimate guide on how to elope in Vegas for everything else you need to plan the perfect wedding.
Because there are so many options, it can be a challenge to figure out where to elope in Las Vegas. Our personal preference is looking outside of the strip and the chapels for a Vegas desert wedding. Just a short drive from Las Vegas you’ll find Nevada’s oldest park, the 40,000-acre Valley of Fire. We love this elopement location for its red sandstone outcrops with gray and tan limestone rocks, all of which make for extraordinary wedding photos. The park also contains ancient, petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years. If you’re looking to host a small Sin City ceremony, this location typically allows up to 50 guests permits are required based on your guest count. Or, consider eloping in Nelson Ghost Town, an abandoned gold mine town in Nelson Eldorado Canyon, complete with an old gas station, wooden buildings, antique cars, and old machines scattered throughout the property. Although you can elope wherever you want in town, we recommend committing to each other under the stained glass pergola among the cacti on the town’s edge. Do note, the paths here are rocky but easily maneuverable.
The Retreat on Charleston Peak is a small hotel with a peaceful outdoor terrace with canyon and mountain views perfect for your elopement. Although it’s beautiful year-round, even with snow, this mountain location offers a great escape from the summer heat. The allowed number of guests ranges from 10-40, depending on your chosen package. No matter which venue you choose, Vegas is full of beautiful locations for your elopement.
Some tourist destinations have peak and shoulder seasons, but Las Vegas is the exception to this rule. Vegas is busy year-round, so any time of year is a good time to elope in Vegas. Winter—from the end of December through March—will always be milder in weather, so if you’re not a fan of the super hot, this is a great time of year to visit Vegas. Summer days can get incredibly hot, so if you choose to elope during this season, we recommend staying somewhere with access to a pool.
Las Vegas can get hot and we aren’t talking about the casino floor. No matter what time of year you’re planning to elope in Vegas, we highly recommend choosing either early/late morning or early evening for your ceremony time. Daytime temps in the summer can be unbearable for more than fifteen minutes, with peak temperatures ranging from 90-110-degrees. The direct sun in the afternoon creates harsh shadows which aren’t flattering for your portraits. In addition, you don’t want to roast in the hot desert on your wedding day! We definitely recommend shooting for hours with soft light and gentle sun.
You may notice that hotels do charge extra, sometimes double, for Friday and Saturdays, so if you’re looking to save a couple of bucks, hold your wedding ceremony during the week instead of the weekend. That being said, there are always deals to be had in Las Vegas, so definitely shop around. Staying just off the main strip or on the old strip will also save you money. Although it’s not necessary to rent a car while in Vegas, you’ll still want to factor in the cost of Lyfts and Ubers. And if you’re planning on eloping at Valley of Fire State Park, definitely ask your driver to wait until your ceremony is over or consider hiring a car—although it’s easy to book a ride out to the park, it can be near impossible to catch one heading back to town. We offer a variety of elopement packages at every price point, with a ton of flexibility as well as à la carte options. We highly recommend booking Las Vegas wedding packages that are all inclusive since booking all services together tends to be more cost-efficient than booking individually.

Las Vegas is one of the easiest places on the planet to obtain a marriage license! All you’ll need is a form of identification, such as a driver’s License, military ID, or passport, as well as $77. If either of you were previously married, you’ll need the date of your divorce as well as the city and state your divorce decree was filed in. Once you have your materials, head to the Las Vegas Marriage License Bureau to pick up your license, and then you’ll be on your way to the aisle.
You’ll need at least one witness present at your ceremony, which your photographer can easily act as (since your officiant cannot also act as a witness). If you’ve chosen a wedding package that accommodates guests, one of your supporters can take the role of a witness as well.
As soon as you get your marriage license, you can immediately get married in Las Vegas! So yes, technically there are wedding chapels you can just walk into, but where’s the fun in that? Ensure your Vegas elopement stands out from the millions of others by choosing to say “I Do” at one of our awe-inspiring outdoor locations.
Every hotel and casino has a completely different vibe, so where you stay will depend on who you are as a couple! Of course, your budget will also be a factor. Still, you can’t go wrong with something classic like Caesars Palace, Mandalay Bay Resort, or the luxe, modern Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
We contract with the best Las Vegas elopement vendors and photographers in the business, so you’ve come to the right place! Since Las Vegas is the hometown of elopements, there is a whole range of styles and types of elopement vendors. Once you are assigned one of our vendors, they’ll reach out and you can get to know one another, planning your ideal ceremony together. If you’d rather take a hands-off approach, our vendors are veterans of the business and have no problem taking the reins!
To save money, you can get the perfect honeymoon experience for less if you stick around Vegas after tying the knot. For a more classic Las Vegas party experience after an intimate wedding in nature, hit the casinos for drinks and games. Your special day is sure to bring you some good luck. We’ve already laid out why an elopement can be just as special as a pricey destination wedding or a traditional wedding without the headache that comes with the bill, and the same goes for the honeymoon.
No need to splurge on a trip—Caesar’s Paris Las Vegas offers a taste of travel with its half-scale Eiffel Tower that boasts a stunning view of the whole city. For an even more luxurious viewing experience, book a helicopter tour over Vegas. If you’d prefer to stay on the outskirts of the action for a serene getaway, take a hike through Red Rock Canyon or Tule Springs National Monument just outside the city or hop in the car for a quick day trip to Death Valley or the Grand Canyon, both just a couple hours out. From Mandalay Bay Resort to Caesars Palace to the MGM Grand, Vegas hotels are not just for lodging. They also serve as hubs for hosting or booking the best entertainment in town, including the iconic Cirque du Soleil shows and a revolving door of concerts.
1. We don't believe a wedding has to be stressful. There is far less to coordinate (and we take on most of that planning anyhow), and your realm of responsibility consists of making a few decisions and getting your marriage license. It's hard to beat a wedding that is actually...wait for it...relaxing!
2. Cost-conscious: Let's be honest, there is so much uncertainty right now! Economic recession? Inflation? Rising cost of living? Save your money for a honeymoon or buying a house and still have a ceremony you'll remember for the rest of your lives.
3. A Ceremony should be About YOU and YOUR LOVE: When did a wedding turn into a party for everyone else? We personalize every aspect of your experience – from the vendors to the vows. We'll even cry real tears with you. We're here to celebrate the core of what makes a wedding ceremony special: you making a lifetime commitment to the one you love. That's a big deal – and we treat it as such.
1. Flowers by Palette We have arrangements based on a color palette, which means the types of flowers may not be exactly as pictured, but the colors and arrangement style will match. You can explore our options for Flowers by Palette here (excluding Hawaii).
2. Hawaiian Arrangements Hawaii is a unique destination, and we have our stunning tropical arrangements for ceremonies taking place in Hawaii. You can view these arrangements here. Please note that these arrangements are only available in Hawaii.
As soon as you book our services, we get to work! We'll immediately introduce you to your Personal Elopement Planner, who is kind of like your best friend between the date you book and the day you elope! Your Pep will be ensuring every step of the process is smooth and delightful. They will introduce you to your team, answer any questions you have, put your schedule and invoice together, and much more!
We'll also begin the process of personalizing. You'll work with your officiant to ensure your ceremony matches what you envision and dream of. Your photographer will ensure they understand the kind of shots or photos you're hoping for. Your hair & makeup artist will inquire about the style you're going for with your hair and makeup. Your dashboard is also customized to meet your needs.
We offer many tools to help you feel at ease about your decision to book Simply Eloped, including your personalized Elopement Checklist, your marriage license guide, your Wedding Page, and more! You can even make installment payments on your invoice at 0% APR. Weeks prior to your ceremony, we'll send your itinerary with all the details you and your guests need. Your team will meet at your ceremony site, and the rest, as they say, is history.
First off, know that every moment of your elopement day, we are available to you for whatever you need! We're very prompt on timing with floral delivery, hair & makeup, etc.
Your team will always meet at your venue prior to your ceremony time to ensure everyone is collected, introduced, and ready for a gorgeous ceremony right on time. Your officiant will kick off your ceremony and ensure that all of your requests are beautifully exhibited in your personalized ceremony. It's important to note that your dedicated Personal Elopement Planner will not be present at the ceremony, but will definitely be accessible by phone or text for your day-of needs.
Ceremonies generally last 15-20 minutes, which will then kick off into your portrait session with your photographer (if you booked one with us). The main task you need to be mindful of on your big day is bringing your marriage license, and we do the rest! 🌼👰🤵
